He Saved the Best for Last - 2,767 Views

I hope you all had a great Valentine’s Day and that the year is starting out well. I wanted to drop by to let you know what I’ve been up to lately. At present, I have two new completed manuscripts, the start of a new standalone series: The Dancing Hills Mystery Series. One of the manuscrips is currently under consideration by a fabulous literary agency. If all goes well, I'll be able to make an announcement soon regarding representation and eventually a book deal. I’m thrilled with the finished products and can’t wait to introduce this new work to the world. The stories are full of twists and will keep you turning the pages and one has a paranormal element. In a word, they’re both delicious!

On the acting front, I’ve been auditioning and am hoping to soon land my first gig of 2018. I must give kudos to The Brogan Agency. Shaw Brogan and her team are some of the hardest working agents in Hollywood!

All in all, I’m blessed. Looking over my life, I have to say that being in my fifties is a delight! God truly saved the best for last. My twenties were tumultuous—trying to find myself, battling inner demons, struggling financially. My thirties were transformative—coming to the realization that change was needed, doing something different, but not sure I was on the right track, light at the end of the tunnel. My forties were favorable—marriage, home, travel, stability, still in search of purpose. My fifties—FABULOUS. Living my dream, writing fulltime, and pursuing acting. Enjoying my husband and our lives together. Counting my blessings that are numerous. Grateful, happy, amazed at how my life has turned out. I don’t know what the future may bring, but I’ve learned to live in the moment and enjoy what I have, so that when the storm comes, I can say, I never took peace for granted.

If you’re in your twenties, thirties or even forties, and you’re feeling overwhelmed with the challenges of life, please know that this too shall past. Life is a journey not a destination. It’s full of lessons. Learn from them, grow from them and I promise you, it will get better and there will come a time in your life that what you thought was a big deal, won’t be so big anymore, what you thought you wanted, you won’t want anymore. There will come a time in your life, that you’ll be content and grateful for what you have and joyous when what you dreamed of becomes a reality.

Be blessed always!
