Lovely Launch

This time last Saturday, I was celebrating the launch of my new novel, “Married in the Nick of Nine.” It’s been a week and I’m still basking in the love and support from all who came out. Here’s hugs and kisses to those of you who were there and love to those who wanted to be there, but couldn’t make it. Over a hundred people came by and many stayed to hear KJLH Radio On-air Personality Adai Lamar read from “Married in the Nick of Nine” with me. Adai is beautiful and funny! She had the audience cracking up more than once. She’s a sweetheart and down to earth, too. She even helped serve the delectable dishes that were on hand such as turkey rolls and fried chicken! Several attendees won gift cards and free copies of “Married in the Nick of Nine.” All in all, it was pure perfection. My book club supporters were there to support as well as family members.

Well, everyone, the reviews are rolling in and so far “Married in the Nick of Nine” has ten five-star reviews on Here’s a little of what’s being said:

*The story is humorous, poignant, realistic and romantic.

*This book is nothing like anything I've ever read before. Trust me, from the very beginning it will reach out and grab you. There's so much I dug about this book, I don't know where to begin. Cass is a great character, one that women everywhere will be able to relate to.

*This novel has something for everyone as it deals with everything from "nosey neighbors" to "assisting neighbors in need". I commend Ms. Thomas on an excellent novel and encourage everyone to read it. I look forward to the sequel!

*Alretha Thomas has again delivered a well written and engrossing work. I was immediately drawn in from the opening lines and my attention never wavered. Ms. Thomas eloquently builds each scene and paints a vivid picture of each character; the story has an excellent flow. This was a fast and entertaining read and I highly recommend this book as well as her two earlier books.

*Married in the Nick of Nine is captivating!

*As I read the last page, all I could think was, I want more. I sure hope there's a sequel because there is so much more to the story for Cass and Nic and the others.

*This is the first book that I have read by Alretha Thomas and I must say it was a wonderful book. In Married in the Nick of Nine you will find love, humor, betrayal and so much more.

*I won’t give away the plot, but will say that there is relentless love, joy, anger, betrayal, redemption, prayers said and prayers answered. Ms. Thomas is a gifted wordsmith and obviously a woman of great grace and faith. Brava Author, for a work very, very well done!

Needless to say, I’m grateful and happy at how well “Married in the Nick of Nine” is being received. If you haven’t gotten a copy, get a copy today! I thank you in advance for your support. Here’s to “Married in the Nick of Nine” becoming an international bestseller and record-breaking box office movie sensation!
